Possible Business Card?

I'm in the process of making business cards....what a chore! =) I'm probably going to have about 10 to choose from since I'm the type of person that can't make a decision for the life of me. LOL! Here's one of them....more to come later. Whatcha think (no wording yet) but do you like the photo? Would it intrigue you to call me or would you toss it?

On a side note....I'm loosing creativity again so I'm vowing to have my camera attached to my hip this weekend and work through it. =)

I've had a bunch of people asking and emailing me about backlighting tips....I PROMISE I will post what I do by Monday. I don't claim to know everything about it....sometimes it's just luck so bare with me. LOL!! =)

Proud as a Peacock!

I attempted to take some photos of Sam in her Halloween costume...it didn't go that well as you can see by the look on her face! =)





So bored, she's trying to eat her own hand! LOL!!



I had to tape the feather part to the wall because it kept coming forward and she was getting mad. There's a cute little hoodie that she's suppose to wear but when I put it on her, it look like I had her pinned to the wall! LOL!! Oh, the stuff we do to get good shots! =)

I LOVE backlighting!

Sometimes, I feel that's the only thing I can do. I finally was able to pull out my camera today and take some shots of Gracie but I wasn't quite happy with what I got (shhh....don't tell anyone, I forgot to check my settings...OOPPPSS)! Anywho, after downloading them and not seeing that "money" shot, I bribed Gracie (she made $2.00 off of me by the way) and put her in the window......I'm much happier with these. =)

OK....to forewarn you guys...I'm not a creative writer, never have been and never will be (hence the reason I always just barely passed my high school and college English and creative writing courses ) so don't laugh at my about me....it's goofy and I'm sure I'll change it every week and I've still got to add some more detail stuff. =)

and I'll have my website up! It's been a pain in my side and it's all I can think about getting done but I'm glad it's here! =) I'll keep you guys posted but in the meantime here's a couple recent random photos. =)

Crossing my fingers.....

for my website to be up and live by Monday! WOO-HOO! =) I finally figured out my little problem I was having so now it's a matter of sizing all the photos and thumbnails for it (a very time-consuming job I might add) and fine tuning all the little details. =) I'm so excited...and it's actually not as hard as I thought it would be. So for you guys who know very little about html and stuff....it's EASY! If I can do it, anyone can....I'm a computer idiot! =)

Just to forewarn you...you guys have seen most of the photos that will be in it...Sam and Gracie, Gracie and Sam....and just a few other little ones. I need new models...oh, I've said that before right? =)

Here's some recent ones...nothing major. I'm doing some more shots for Leslie and Wiggy hats so I'll post those. I haven't had much time to spend with Sam doing it so I really need to get on the ball with that. =)

This is a oldie of Gracie....I was going through my photos and I passed this one up...not sure why (click on it to make it larger...it looks way better). A reason not to delete your photos to quickly...I sometimes come across one that I've missed the first time around. =) Now only if my computer doesn't crash with all the photos on it...that would be a nightmare.

A New Day.....

Lots of random photos from the past week or two. =)

So, I've started a website...well, it's not live yet, but I'm having a heck of a time with it and I'm one of those people that will sit and sit for hours until I get it to work....not this time. I shot an email to Winklet hoping I'm not the only idiot that has had this type of problem....wish me luck! =)

LOVE this one of Sam and Gracie....guess what I had to do to get Sam to look at me? Put a dog toy in my mouth and growl like a dog? I know, disgusting but you do what you've gotta do? I got her to look at me...no smile thought...in fact she's got that look on her face like "you're crazy woman!" =)

I'm trying to push my 30mm and seeing what I can and can't get away with! =) I keep coming back to this one...something about her eyes. They are big in the first place but some girls have said they look like fishbowls here! LOL!! =)

Remembering....

I just wanted to talk a little about 9/11. I know some don't want to talk about it and they want to move on and that completely fine...I see it's a way of closure but for me...I need and want to talk about it. So if you are one of those people...you probably want to just skip this post. =)

I CLEARLY remember that day....we were living in an apartment waiting for our house to be built, it was a nice, bright sunny day. We were planning on going shopping...just having a girl's day. Gracie was almost 5 months old and I was watching Today and all of a sudden on the TV flashed that a tower was hit by a plane. I immediately called Grady and told him what was going on and he told me to keep him posted. And then as I was watching...I saw another plane flying down to close in and I thought...OMG, that's not right. They closed the airspace down and then it hit the second tower and I knew....it was terrorist attack...I didn't need anyone to tell me that. And I remember this and will NEVER forget it...I was feeding Gracie and I looked down at her and knew that the world she would grow up in would be totally something different then anything I knew and wished for her. I just wanted to get my family and friends together and run away and hide.

All those people that lost family members, friends, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters....I was just so sad for them. And what got me was the kids at home that would be without a parent.....I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. Do you remember the photograph of all the abandon strollers in the park? I'm crying even thinking about it now, but they just ran for their lives with their kids.

I think what I don't get (and this is from me...someone that wants everyone to be happy) is why can't everyone just get along? I get that not everyone likes the US, they don't agree with the way we live, our policies and stuff, but Dear Lord, the children that were effected by this....they just didn't care. The most precious and innocent of all....it just didn't matter. They are monsters....that's what I tell myself...only monsters could do this with no feeling for human life.

There were and are so many heroes from that day including the firefighters, police, and others that ran into the buildings to help others....they had to know that there was a good chance they might not make it out alive, yet they still went on without questioning it. The passengers of Flight 93.....what they did was so courageous. The Pentagon employees.....just WOW!

I will close and this is my personal opinion.....we live in a different time now. The safety and will being of us, our families, friends and most importantly, our children is what matters to me. I'm willing to lose some rights and freedoms to keep America safe. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights were written in a time that terrorist probably wasn't even a word yet.

If it was a kid....I'd have CPS crawling all over me! LOL!!

I haven't played around lately with my camera....my creative juices have come to a complete stop....what's new! Anywho, this is of Gracie at her ballet class.....you see why I choose this place...yes, they are fantastic people but look at those BIG BEAUTIFUL windows! YEAH BABY!!

Here's a couple more from the little session with Sam. =) The first one is proof that don't delete any of your photos off the bat (unless they are blurry) because sometimes you just overlook some the first time around but then when you come back....you see one that you love! =)
